Duo Spoken Word Slam at Julian High School

ATTENTION ALL #LTAB2013 Teams!!! Still want to compete? Sign up for the Duo Slam at Julian High School Here are the specific details and how to register:  Wednesday May 29th, 4:30pm to 6:30pm   Julian High School (10330 S. Elizabeth)  Registration Fee:  $15 (1-2 duos)  $25 (3+ duos)  I realize that many of you have to pay the registration fee out of your own pocket, but the fee will go entirely to pay the hosts and DJ and is a good opportunity to talk to your principal about the importance of spoken word. Hosts: Jose Olivarez & Lamar Jorden; DJ TBD Tickets: $2 at the door for non-performers, guests, and audience members. Reasons why your poets should perform: (In case you need some) · It's an opportunity to have any seniors perform for the last time. · It's a good chance to get your younger poets on stage. · With all the violence going on in Chicago this spring, it is another chance to show the city that there are a lot of positive things that young people are doing in the city.
